Hi James, I have enjoyed reading all about your Consul on your website. I have a '57 Zephyr which I bought only a week ago. I've attached a photo taken last Sunday.  It's a very solid car and has been well maintained over the years. It was resprayed in the 80's with two-pack and just needs minor touch ups now.   What I do know is it used to have a Raymond Mays conversion and won lots of trophys (which came with the car). It evidently ran a mean quarter mile at Santa Pod. Now it's been converted back to stock. The current engine has very low mileage having been supplied by Ford to the aircraft industry as a 'starter motor' but never used. The car has overdrive which is great on the motorway. Evidently, it's quite well known in the MKII clubs although it hasn't been around so much since the millenium (until now!!). Regards David
